Apr 2010 – Decluttering Newsletter

Clearing clutter

This month I want to talk about one of the major reasons why we should look at clearing the clutter – not just in our living and working environments but also in our lives. This directly relates to the Law of Attraction, and I’m sure many of you will have read “The Secret” or seen the DVD, and been inspired by the idea that we can attract into our lives anything that our heart desires.

The following is a passage from a wonderful book I’ve been reading for the second time: “Ask and It Is Given – Learning to Manifest Your Desires” by Esther and Jerry Hicks [The Teachings of Abraham]. [success]“A cluttered environment can cause a cluttered point of attraction. If you are surrounded by unfinished work, unanswered letters, incomplete projects, unpaid bills, unattended to tasks, unsorted piles of paperwork, and stray magazines, catalogues, and all manner of miscellaneous items – they can negatively affect your life experience. Because everything carries its own vibration, and because you develop a vibrational relationship with everything in your life, your personal belongings do have an impact on the way you feel and on your point of attraction. If you could just go through and release those things you are not wearing, release those things you are not using, release them and leave your experience in a clearer place, then the things that are more in harmony with who you are now will more easily flow into your experience. You all have a capacity for attraction, and when your process is clogged with stuff that you no longer want, the new attraction is slower – and then you end up with a feeling of frustration or overwhelm.”[/success]

Now while that may sound quite esoteric, clearing away unwanted or unneeded items will make a huge difference to your energy levels [both physical and spiritual] and a sense of well-being will replace those awful feelings of frustration and overwhelm.

So, here’s what I suggest this month

What is the one thing you’d like to get handled – that has become a constant source of frustration? I know I’ve said this before in previous newsletters, but it bears repeating – if you declutter or sort just one area, you will feel an immediate difference and it will inspire you to look at ‘what next’. Please don’t let yourself become overwhelmed because you’re looking at piles of ‘stuff’ in every corner – it will all look so daunting you’ll just turn your back on it because it’s too difficult to know where to start.

Pick just one area, or a few unattended tasks you have been putting off – block out a couple of hours in your diary and just do it. If you get stuck please do call or email me.

One Last Thing

I’m taking a break in May for a couple of weeks and heading North to the States. I’ll be attending some workshops in Dallas and San Diego, and having a holiday at the same time, so I’m very excited. If you do decide to take on that ‘one thing’ this month, and need some advice on how to get started, you will still get hold of me up until 2nd May. After that, drop me an email as I will be checking my emails periodically.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this month’s newsletter. I love the feedback I receive and to hear that you’ve been inspired to action.

In Joy!
